Each character has 3 job paths (with Rose being the exception with 4 job paths) that he/she can follow when reaching the required level and completing the job change quests (players can also archive these job paths by purchasing the job change item in the Item Mall). The current season of the Elsword features twelve characters, or classes. The вЂњEl Search PartyвЂќ was formed with the mission of finding the El Lady and restoring the El Crystal. On the journey, they met more allies, including RavenвЂ“a war-worn mercenary who had been turned into a cyborg, EveвЂ“the NasodвЂ™s Queen, ChungвЂ“the guardian of the City of Water HamelвЂ¦ and many more. Yet, more serious troubles and evil plots awaited them. Elsword, a young swordman, together with his new allies, Rena the elf and Aisha the wandering magician, set out on a quest to pursue the thieves and retrieve the missing El Stone. Years later, in a small village named Ruben, the bandits planned to steal the El Stone, a large El Shard lying in a giant tree.

Conflicts broke as there were some people tried to fight to protect and restore the El, while the others aimed to steal the broken El Shards for selfish purposes. People could only live near the places where the large El Shards resided.

The El exploded into million shards and the shards dispersed throughout the continent. However, later, an incident involved in the betrayal of Solace the Sun Master and the disappearance of the El Lady led to an extremely unstable state of the El Crystal. After the life and prosperity returned to Elrios, people had chosen six individuals called El Masters to govern the El as well as to help the El Lady. The El Lady, who was possessed by IshmaelвЂ™s power, succeeded to restore the power of El. As time passed, the power of El (the short calling for El Crystal) was misused and the El became weakened, threatening to deteriorate Elrios. The story of Elsword takes place in a fantasy world called Elrios, a once dead realm submerged in darkness and Chaos which became prosperous and lively thanks to the power of a huge, mysterious gem that the Goddess Ishmael had sent to revitalize the continent: the El Crystal. In addition, each character in the game has his/her own background stories unlocked as the character archives his/her respective job paths or complete specific quests. Otherwise, Gaia server is for international (outside of the USA and Canada) players.ДЄt present, ElswordвЂ™s story contains 26 chapters tied to eight regions of the world of Elrios with each region has multiple subplots and a lore for ElriosвЂ™s background. For the accounts created within NA region, players will be playing in Solace server. For the English version of the game, players can choose North America (NA) server to enjoy. Even though Elsword is a free-to-play game, players can purchase various items, costumes and customization in the вЂњItem MallвЂќ using K-ching converted from real currency.ДЄs of today, Elsword has opened servers in South Korea, Japan, North America, China, Brazil, and Taiwan.
